Unemployment Insurance and Benefits

Unemployment Insurance and benefits are an important consideration for employees who are either leaving, or have already left their role. The specifics of unemployment insurances/benefits vary from country to country, and it is usually the responsibility of the employee to apply for them.

If you are leaving, or have already left your Employer of Record (EoR) role and do not have a new job contract to enter into then you may be assisted during the course of your unemployment through government assistance or third party insurances, depending on your country of work.

It is recommended that you look into the assistance offered in your individual country of work to obtain any benefits that may be available to you. Often, this can be found by speak to your local social security office or in-country citizens advice centre for more information and if available, to start the benefits claim process.
