Mauve Group is extremely proud to partner with many NGOs, charities and educational establishments, and remains committed to supporting all client organisations and workers impacted by President Trump’s recent executive order related to U.S. foreign aid.

On January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump issued an executive order titled "Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid," which mandates an immediate 90-day pause on most U.S. foreign development assistance. This pause is intended to allow for a comprehensive review of these programs. Exemptions to this freeze include emergency food assistance and military aid to Israel and Egypt.

During the freeze, each program will be evaluated for efficiency and alignment with U.S. foreign policy. As a result, programs may continue, be modified, or cease based on the outcomes of these reviews.

The current process, timeline and detail of the order are still being established, but we understand that many USAID-funded projects may face immediate disruptions.

If you are a client or worker affected by the executive order, you should consult with Mauve Group before making or communicating any decisions on forward actions. This approach ensures compliance with local employment laws and mitigates potential risks for all parties.

Given the evolving nature of this situation, we are actively conducting research on its implications in each country to support you through this period, and provide you with accurate and actionable guidance.
